Regenerative medicine is one of the fastest-growing fields of science, combining basic research with cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, and modern clinical medicine. Thanks to advances in basic science, tissue engineering, and medical technologies, the translation of laboratory discoveries into effective therapies is becoming increasingly effective.
The conference was initiated by Prof. Michał Pikuła (Department of Embryology, Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, Medical University of Gdańsk) and Prof. Ryszard Smoleński (Department of Biochemistry, Medical University of Gdańsk), with the support of the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Program Support Department. The conference will also be an opportunity to meet the Research Team: IX. Technological developments for bioanalysis and therapy, including cell-based, 3D, and artificial engineered models within POB 3, coordinated by Prof. Michał Pikuła.
The event will present the latest advances in stem cell research, mechanisms of tissue regeneration, and the potential use of innovative materials and biologically active compounds in clinical practice. A group of experts from Poland and abroad has been invited to participate in the conference.
